Leeds United are interested in signing the Derby County striker Matej Vydra this summer.

The 26-year-old had a fabulous season with the Rams last year and he would be a solid addition to the Leeds attack.

As per the Derby Telegraph, the Whites are keen on signing a striker this summer. The likes of Vydra and Hernandez are options for the Championship outfit but Marcelo Bielsa prefers a move for Vydra.

The former Watford star scored 22 goals in all competitions last season and Leeds are not the only club after him. West Brom are thought to be interested as well.

The report adds that Derby are not willing to sell their star striker unless they make a substantial profit on him. They paid £8m for him in 2016.

It will be interesting to see whether Leeds submit an offer for the player now.

Bielsa will be chasing promotion next season and he will need to add goals to his side. Signing Vydra would be a sensational piece of business from the Argentine.

The 26-year-old knows the league well and he has already proven himself in the Championship over the years.
