Manchester United’s Juan Mata seems to be the latest unsettled star at Old Trafford, with the Spaniard claiming he is unhappy at playing on the right wing at the club.

Mata, a £37m January signing from rivals Chelsea, has played just six times for United, but is already unhappy with being stuck on the flanks, further exacerbating Moyes’ formation issues this season,
“Right now I am playing on the right but to honest I don’t see myself as a proper winger,” Mata told BT Sport (through ESPN)
“I love to play between the lines as a No.10, come inside, that is where I feel comfortable to play; to keep in touch with the ball because I love to play in possession and with the ball.”
Many would argue that despite him being named the club’s player of the month for February, Mata has failed to fully show his quality at United since his winter move.
The Spaniard, when on the top of his game, takes some stopping, but with both Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney able to flit into Mata’s preferred number 10 position, he has often found himself deployed on the flanks, limiting his efficiency and evidently frustrating him.
David Moyes’ use of the player has been questioned on several occasions, with the issue now being addressed by Mata himself.

Yet the 25-year-old does not begrudge sharing the field with his illustrious teammates, despite the ongoing problems, as he humbly pointed out,
“When we talk about them, we are talking about two of the best strikers in the world,”
“Wayne is one of the best in the history of England, for sure, and Robin is the captain of Holland, so it is an honour for me to try and assist them because almost every chance you create is a goal.”
