Inter Milan is fast becoming an attractive destination for good players all over the world. There is a typical unrest in Italy at the moment, with clubs like Juventus, Roma and AC Milan facing the prospects of losing their star players to big clubs in Europe.
Apart from Guarin/Vucinic saga that tarnished the image of the club, Inter have since then been doing their business quietly and steadily.
They made a big statement of intent, when they signed Hernanes from Lazio for close to €20m. They further signed Nemanja Vidic in the summer on a free transfer, which on first look seems a cracking piece of business. Not only the Serb will add his vast wealth of experience to the side (not to talk about quality) but will be effective in expanding the club’s brand image in Asia, where Premier League players are very popular.
The Nerazzurri are looking to add another Manchester United player, Javier Hernandez, to their ranks. Italian media Sportmediaset claim that Inter Milan are likely to re-open talks to land the Mexican striker, albeit on loan.
Hernandez has been a long term target of Inter Milan. The Nerazzurri were interested in signing him last January while back in May we also produced a story on Inter’s reported interest in the player.
Hernandez, who has been left out of the 25-man Manchester United squad for the pre-season tour to USA by Louis van Gaal, has had a tough period under David Moyes last season. He dropped down the pecking orders at the club and found hard to get regular game time, as a result of which, he lost his regular starting position to Oribe Peralta for Mexico as well.
The 26-year-old can only hope to revive his under the new Manchester United manager. However, a loan move to Inter won’t be a bad option for him. Although he will miss Champions League football there, but at least can expect regular games under his belt, which he badly needs.
