This Wednesday, 3 November, the SportsLens horse racing NAP of the Day is Representing Bob in the extended 2m 3f handicap hurdle at Chepstow (1:00). Well-in compared to his chase mark, odds of 11/8 say he can win over the smaller obstacles. That’s why Representing Bob is Bet of the Day today.

Trained by Jamie Snowden, this five-year-old Presenting gelding simply looks thrown in at the weights. The stable has been in good form at the end of October too. Representing Bob thus rates the NAP of the Day for 3 November on his handicap hurdle debut. His highly exploitable mark isn’t the only reason why SportsLens tipsters put him up as the Bet of the Day this Wednesday, though…

Why will NAP of the Day Representing Bob win?
Something has clicked with this horse recently. Representing Bob was a maiden going into his chase debut at Stratford a month ago. He began over fences in a novices’ event off a lowly mark of 83. Representing Bob made headway from the home turn and threw down his challenge approaching the last.
Once over the final fence, he was in front and kept on strongly for a comfortable 2 1/4 lengths victory. The third home, Lost In Montmatre, has since won at Hereford, so that advertises the form. Representing Bob then followed-up at Bangor off 6lb higher. He made progress on the inner and led two out.
Gavin Sheehan just had to push Representing Bob out on the run-in for a five-length success. He now makes his handicap hurdle bow off 5lb lower than his latest win over fences. Representing Bob now has a steeplechase rating of 98, so he really is so well-in to this Class 5 contest.
It is very unlikely that he is a whole stone inferior over hurdles than fences. Indeed, the assessor has him running off 91 in future assignments. Representing Bob gets in very lightly here off a lovely racing weight of 10st 6lb. A £25 punt on him at those 11/8 odds returns almost £60 if he wins. Should Representing Bob fail to live up to his billing as a handicap blot here, then QuinnBet returns the losing stake as a free bet.
