One of the best things happened to Liverpool since the Rafael Benitez era, is the redevelopment of the club’s academy. The Spaniard single handedly revamped the academy and though one couldn’t observe the impacts immediately, the output is now there for everyone to see and appreciate.

The likes of Kelly, Flanagan, Suso, Sterling, Ibe et al are some of the young talents coming out from the academy and if the scout reports are to believed there is an abundance of talent in the academy who could represent the club in future.

However, as often with the cases with young players, sometimes they fail to live up to their potentials. Daniel Pacheco, a burning example that comes to mind. Hungary midfielder Krisztian Adorjan, who will return to Liverpool after ending his loan spell with FC Groningen, is another example.

Adorjan, the 21-year-old was thought to be one of the promising youngsters from the academy, but somehow has failed to live up to the expectations. His loan spell with Groningen didn’t work out perfectly either, with the club manager Henk Veldmate deciding not to extend his loan period.

The young attacking midfielder has a contract till 2015 and time is running out for him to impress manager Brendan Rodgers. Another loan move could be a possibility but Liverpool may look to sell him permanently as well.
