Manchester United defender Patrice Evra has signed a one-year contract extension at the club, ending all talk of him potentially leaving Old Trafford this summer.

The veteran full-back, who is part of Didier Deschamps’ France squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, had been strongly linked with both Monaco and Inter Milan in recent months, with rumours of him being replaced with a big-name in the summer running rife throughout last season.

But all talk will now end concerning his future, with the 33-year-old to remain at Old Trafford for at least another season.
