Italian giants Juventus have stepped up their chase for Stevan Jovetic and have offered €20 million plus Luca Marrone and Manolo Gabbiadini for the Fiorentina forward.

The Bianconeri offered initially €18 million and Marrone for the striker but it was rebuffed immediately. The Turin giants have added €2 million to their original bid and have thrown in promising youngster Gabbiadini into the mix for the Montengrin forward.

AC Milan’s highly talented youngster Stephan El Shaarawy could leave the club according to his agent, who believes it is a ‘very delicate moment’ for the 20-year-old.

English giants Manchester City and French outfit AS Monaco have rumoured to have tabled offers for the youngster. Roberto La Florio, the player’s agent told AreaMilan:

“I cannot say anything at the moment. It is a very delicate moment.”

Napoli striker Edinson Cavani insisted that he is happy to stay at Stadio San Paolo but doesn’t know what the future holds for him.

The Uruguayan has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City and Chelsea, but according to several reports, Real Madrid could be his preferred destination.

Barcelona have offered €11m for Roma midfield maestro Miralem Pjanic

Over to Spain. La Liga champions Barcelona will offer Roma €11 million for midfielder Miralem Pjanic, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo. The 23-year-old has been one of the top performers for AS Roma this season, notching up three goals in 27 matches.

The Catalan club were constantly linked with Roma’s centre-back Marquinhos but according to the Barcelona-based newspaper, the Blaugrana have shifted their attention to the talented midfielder.

Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido insisted that the Andalusian club have no ‘budgetary requirement’ to sell striker Alvaro Negredo in the summer. Del Nido was quoted by Football Espana:

“Now we have no budgetary requirement that forces us to sell, so for Negredo, he will only leave if an important offer arrives.”

The La Liga outfit have sold Jesus Navas to Manchester City, Alberto Luna to Aston Villa and Luis Alberto to Liverpool already in the summer while Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Borussia Dortmund are trying to lure Negredo away from the club.

In other news, Real Zaragoza have signed former Celta Vigo man Paco Herrera as their new coach. And finally to round up this segment, Granada have signed 32-year-old Rayo Vallecano striker Piti on a free transfer yesterday.
