After we had reported yesterday that Manchester United are preparing a €40m bid for Fiorentina star Juan Cuadrado, reports from Italian newspaper La Nazione claim that the 26 year old is unsure about his future at the La Viola.
The media outlet had questioned the player while he was relaxing at a beach during the weekend, who reportedly said, “My future? It’s not up to me, I do not know. There is still time for closing the market, I do not even know.”
We have been reporting throughout the summer that both Manchester United and Barcelona are keen to land the Colombian who had a spectacular World Cup, but the interest from the Catalan giants have died down over the past few weeks. Moreover Barcelona manager Luis Enrique doesn’t want to push experienced right back Dani Alves out of the club. The Brazilian has a contract with the La Liga giants till the summer of 2015.
However with Barcelona being hit with transfer bans for two seasons till 2016, some late push to secure the service s for Cuadrado might be expected. For Manchester United, now that they are closing in on Angel Di Maria, it would be interesting if the Red Devils go all out in the last week of what has been an intense transfer window.
