Real Madrid have signed Bayern Munich’s World Cup winner Toni Kroos on a six-year contract.

DONE DEAL: Toni Kroos will make an immediate switch to Real Madrid after the clubs reached an agreement.

The 24 year old had also been linked with Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea but the player ultimately decided to join the Champions League winners.
Kroos was one of the stand out players for Germany in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil who were crowned champions after beating Argentina in the final at the Maracana on Sunday.
Real Madrid also took to Twitter to welcome their new acquisition.

The set piece specialist is a product of the Bayern youth system breaking into their first team in 2007 before spending an 18 month loan spell with Bayer Leverkusen in 2009/10.
“We would like to thank Toni for his time at Bayern Munich,” Bayern chief Karl Heinz Rummenigge commented on the deal.
“We enjoyed some great successes together. We wish him and his family all the best in Madrid and at Real.”
Kroos will be presented to the media and fans on the honorary balcony at the Santiago Bernebeu today.
