Liverpool have secured the signing of Manchester City’s James Milner on a free transfer, the club have confirmed.

The 29-year-old England international will join Liverpool upon expiry of his contract on July 1. He becomes the first major signing of the club in the summer transfer window.
Milner is a versatile player who can play in multiple positions and known for his tremendous work rate. Getting him on a free transfer seems a cracking piece of business from Liverpool.
The England international graduated from the famous Leeds United academy and spent quality years at Newcastle United, Aston Villa and Manchester City.
