Chelsea forward Lucas Piazon has completed his switch loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday.
A statement on the Blues’ official website read, ” Lucas Piazon has today joined German side Eintracht Frankfurt on a season-long loan. The 20-year-old will continue his impressive progress by joining the Bundesliga side.”
The 20-year-old joined the Stamford Bridge outfit in January 2012 and went to make his first team debut later that year. However, since January 2013, the Brazilian has been away from the Premier League club on loan.
His first loan spell was with Malaga between January to June 2013. Last season, he was with Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem.
Frankfurt’s sporting director Bruno Hubner has admitted the negotiations with Chelsea was on-going. However, Hubner is delighted to have completed a loan move for the Brazilian forward.
“We are glad to be able to reach an agreement after lengthy but very fair negotiations with Chelsea,” Hubner said.
“Piazon will strengthen us in the coming season. He has played on the left wing, he can play on the right and be used as an attacking midfielder.”
