Chelsea star Eden Hazard has insisted that Real Madrid ‘know what to do’ in order to sign him this summer.
After concluding another staggering season with the Blues, Hazard continues to be heavily linked with a mega-money move to the European champions, who are currently biting their nails due to the unsettled futures of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
Hazard scored 17 goals and provided seven other assists in all competitions for Chelsea last season but still failed to help the Blues’ to qualify for next season’s Champions League football and the 27-year-old has now publicly revealed that he is waiting to learn about Antonio Conte’s future at the club while also insisting that Chelsea need to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Speaking to L’Equipe (via the Independent), Hazard said: “As I said before, I won everything in London except the Champions League. If I’m here in my career, it’s thanks to Chelsea.
“It would be too easy to say: I want to leave because I have done everything. It is for that before everything that I would really like to know what will happen at the club next year.
“I am waiting to see if the coach stays or leaves. If I stay, it will be because the team will be better than the season we have just had. I do not want to stay if we are less good.
The Belgian winger, who is currently on international duty in Russia, added that Real Madrid already know what they have to do to prize him away from Stamford Bridge this summer but any potential negotiations are almost certain to happen only after the conclusion of World Cup finals in Russia.
“Real Madrid can interest me, everyone knows it. But if tomorrow this club does not want me, we will not talk about it anymore. If they want to buy me, they know what to do,” Hazard stated.
“Go there for the sake of it… no. It takes a project. I still have a project in Chelsea. If I have a good World Cup, things will be easier.”
