Chelsea winger Charly Musonda is closing in on a return to Real Betis.
The Belgian winger joined the La Liga side on loan during the second half of last season and the 19 year old impressed with his performances.
Real Betis confirmed earlier this summer that they are looking to renew the loan deal as Chelsea are not willing to get rid of the player permanently. However, the Spanish club’s president also revealed that the deal is being delayed due to Antonio Conte’s involvement in the Euros this summer.
Musonda has previously confirmed that he wants to return to Betis on loan, but Chelsea were not ready to approve the move initially.
According to latest reports, an agreement is really close and could be finalised in a matter of hours.
Musonda is regarded as the most talented player from Chelsea’s academy right now and at this stage of his career he needs to play regularly in order to develop and fulfill his potential.
If the Belgian winger returns to Betis on loan for next season, it would be a fantastic move for the player as well as both clubs.
Musonda is quite highly rated in Belgium as well and is expected to follow in the footsteps of Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne.
