Chelsea trouble deepens as FA charges Mourinho for his behaviour against West Ham

Chelsea suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of West Ham United in the Premier League clash last weekend at Upton Park.

The match had few instances, which could have made the headlines. The Blues were reduced to 10-men when midfielder Nemanja Vidic was sent off after the Serbian international received a second yellow just before the break.

Around that incident, players from both team surrounded the referee and the Football Association (FA) has advised the Premier League winners and West Ham to control the behaviour of their players.

Chelsea coach Silvino Louro was sent off for his behaviour in the 45th minute and was forced to leave the technical area. In addition to this, Jose Mourinho had an argument with the match officials during the break.

Both the former Real Madrid manager and his compatriot Louro have been charged by the FA and they have until 6pm GMT on 29 October to respond.

A statement read on the FA’s official website read, “Following the game between West Ham United and Chelsea on Saturday [24 October 2015], The FA has taken the following disciplinary action.”

“Jose Mourinho has been charged with misconduct in relation to his language and/or behaviour towards the match officials in or around the dressing room area at half-time. Chelsea coach Silvino Louro has also been charged with misconduct in relation to his behaviour which led to his 45th minute dismissal from the technical area.”

“West Ham have been charged for failing to control their players in the 44th minute of the game and Chelsea have also been charged with the same offence for an alleged breach in the 45th minute of the game. All parties have until 6pm on Thursday [29 October 2015] to reply.”

Mourinho’s trouble at Stamford Bridge deepens with the latest charge by the FA. It is only getting worse for the west London club and their manager as their struggle on and off the pitch continues.
