Inter Milan can hardly afford to give Roberto Mancini a big pot of cash to spend on marquee players in the January transfer window. The Serie A giants have had a poor start to their season, and are looking to sign few quality Premier League players on loan in order to give themselves a chance for a strong finish in the league.
From various reports, we already know that Inter are keen to sign Arsenal’s German forward Lukas Podolski. The Arsenal forward has already agreed a deal with Inter, though Arsenal haven’t yet received any formal offers. It seems like Inter are now looking to add Chelsea’s Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah to their ranks as well.
According to reports from Calciomercato, Inter would be making a formal move for the Chelsea star, who has dropped down the pecking orders at the club. The 22-year-old former Basel winger has only managed 12 minutes of Premier League actions this season, and although Jose Mourinho would like to use him as a squad player, Salah could be looking to join a club, albeit temporarily where he gets regular first team football.
The report says the Nerazzurri sporting director will meet Chelsea’s director Michael Emenalo at around 11’o clock in the morning, where talks of signing Salah on loan will be discussed.
Inter are willing to sign him permanently, but at this moment it is unclear how Chelsea want to approach the deal. It will only get clear by tomorrow.
