Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been linked with a move away from the club this summer and several European clubs are monitoring his situation.
The Armenian midfielder’s contract is up in June 2017 and Borussia Dortmund are trying to convince him to renew his current deal.
Mkhitaryan has been sensational for the Bundesliga outfit this season and is arguably one of the best attacking midfielders in world football right now.
Earlier this year, Mkhitaryan was linked with a move to Arsenal with reports claiming that he is already looking for a home in London. However, Bild are now claiming that Mkhitaryan has had a lucrative offer from Premier League giants Chelsea.
The player was expected to renew his contract with Dortmund this summer, but the report from Bild claims that Chelsea’s big money offer has turned the player’s head. Furthermore, his agent Mino Raiola is in no hurry to secure his client’s future at Dortmund and is playing a waiting game.
Mkhitaryan has scored 19 goals and has also provided 24 assists for the German giants this season. Chelsea are in need of a goal scoring creative player and him joining the Blues would be a major coup for Antonio Conte.
