With Robert Lewandowski switch loyalties to Bayer Munich, Dortmund are in search of a striker who can lead the line up front up for the yellow and black. Torino striker Ciro Immobile who has enjoyed a stunning season in the Serie A is on the top of the wishlist of Jurgen Klopp.

The 24 year old who scored 22 goals and grabbed 3 assists in 33 appearances this campaign has also earned a call up in the 30 man provisional squad for the national side for the World Cup. The player had recently admitted, I’m ambitious and after a season in which I’ve played so well, it’s only natural to aim very high.”

“I admit I’d like to play in the Champions League now. Borussia Dortmund are a huge club and the idea of replacing Lewandowski really appeals to me.”

“Still, my agent’s looking around and we’ll just have to see. Like I said, it’s important for me to find a club playing in the Champions League because that would also help me develop personally.”

However the Di Marzio story claims that talks have stalled and Klopp has courted the possibility to bring Lukaku to Westfalenstadion if an agreement can be reached in the summer. The young Belgian has enjoyed yet another impressive season on loan at Everton scoring  15 goals and grabbing 6 assists in 33 appearances for the Merseyside club.

Chelsea’s asking price for the 21 year old is thought to be beyond reach of Everton but the Stamford Bridge club would wait till the end of the World Cup where an impressive show will sky rocket his price even further.

Lukaku grabbed a stunning hattrick against Luxemborg yesterday as Belgian brushed aside their opponents by 5-1 in a friendly which was a part of the Red Devils’ pre World Cup preparations.
