Abdul Rahman Baba is fast becoming one of the sought after players in Europe.
The 20-year-old FC Augsburg full back is already a regular international for Ghana and has caught the attentions of European heavyweights Manchester City, Arsenal and Real Madrid.
He has made 27 appearances this season for Augsburg and many consider him in Germany as the ‘revelation’ of the season.
Real Madrid are targeting him to replace Fabio Coentrao; the Portuguese could leave the club in the summer. However, Los Blancos are not alone in the race to sign him.
According to L’Equipe, Chelsea would be interested in signing the youngster, who would cost around €15m. Reports suggest Serie A giants AS Roma and German club Borussia Dortmund are also monitoring the progress of the Ghana youth international.
Chelsea could be looking to sign a left back in the summer. Filipe Luis has hardly impressed and the Brazilian could be allowed to leave the club next season. If reports from ESPN are to be believed, Chelsea are plotting an audacious move to sign Tottenham’s first choice left-back Danny Rose.
Rose is being monitored by Chelsea and Manchester City and both the clubs are considering the option of making a summer move for the former England U-21 international.
The 24-year-old has stated his ambitions to play in the Champions League and challenge for trophies, and would relish a move if the bid is accepted. However, Spurs would unlikely sell their prized asset to their direct rivals.
