Chelsea have lifted the Premier League and the League cup in what has been a spectacular season for Jose Mourinho’s men.

The Blues have been the most dominant English side by far and have had one of the best domestic seasons to date. However, Mourinho wants them to get better and rightly so.

The disappointing Champions league exit against PSG will be a dent in an otherwise fabulous season and Mourinho will be keen to address that next season. Here are three things to look forward to next season.

Champions League

The Blues crashed out of the Champions League this season, thanks to former Chelsea player David Luiz.

They have shown an all-conquering form domestically. Can that translate to Europe? Can Jose Mourinho win the Champions league with Chelsea? it will be very interesting to see how Chelsea strengthen and morph into a European heavyweight next season.

John Terry

The Chelsea captain is only the second player ever to play every minute of a title winning campaign. But he is 34 and will regress in terms of fitness. It might be a tad unfair to expect him to replicate a similar feat next season.

It will be interesting to see how Mourinho sets up his defence with John Terry not around. It is evident that the Blues are in desperate need of a quality centre back. Cahill has done well to plug the gap beside Terry, but in all honesty, he is not the best option around.

Improvements will be needed in defence, including the left back position. Big summer ahead for Mourinho and Chelsea.

Transfers

The life of a Chelsea fan is rather interesting when it comes to transfers. Like every other summer, the Blues have a lot to look forward to in the market. Big name signings have already been linked and it will be fascinating to see who comes in to strengthen an already formidable side at the Bridge.

The likes of Griezmann, Icardi, Godin and Rodriguez have been linked with Mourinho’s side. Furthermore, the Portuguese confirmed yesterday that Chelsea are likely to sign atleast 4 new players to add to the squad.

Interesting times ahead.
