Several Chelsea players have turned against Jose Mourinho this season

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho finds himself in an unusual situation after a disappointing start to this season.

One of the finest managers in world football, Mourinho has never been through a similar spell before. With just eight points from eight league games Jose Mourinho faces a race against time to turn it around at Stamford Bridge.

Earlier the Portuguese manager claimed that he could be axed from Chelsea due to the demands of modern football and despite the club’s public vote of confidence towards the manager, many believe that Mourinho could be sacked if results don’t change soon.

Furthermore, Carlo Ancelotti claiming that he is ready to return to the Premier League in January has piled further pressure on Mourinho who needs to prove his worth within a short period of time.

Mourinho’s mission to revive Chelsea won’t be any easier especially because of the rumoured dressing room mutiny against him.

According to London Evening Standard, several Chelsea players are unhappy with Mourinho’s methods and his pubic criticism of his players.

The likes of Azpilicueta, Oscar and Nemanja Matic are disappointed with Mourinho’s recent behavior.

The Portuguese was recently quizzed about the supposed dressing room mutiny and he named four players who could be involved.

“Zouma: ‘We have the best manager in the world’, John Terry: ‘We have the manager we want, he’s the one that we want, the one that can help us lift this situation’, Diego Costa: ‘If you ask any player in the world, they will all answer the same, that they want to work with three managers and one of them is this one’.

“Who else? Fabregas the same, Ramires the same, Loftus-Cheek the same, Cahill the same, Eden Hazard very similar.

“So… I think the mutiny must be Baba, who else? Falcao, Papy Djilobodji, Oscar. So these four don’t play Saturday for sure!”, Mourinho was quoted saying by The Express.

The likes of Oscar, Falcao, Rahman and Djilobodji have been in and out of the Chelsea squad this season. Despite the poor form of the regular starters Mourinho has been reluctant to change things around. That could be a cause of frustration among the players.

It is easy to take Mourinho’s words in a suitable context and blame these players. However, one must not ignore the humorous side of Jose Mourinho who could well be joking about his players.
