Chelsea skipper John Terry has joined his manager Jose Mourinho is claiming that match official have been unfair towards the Blues.
The West London club are without a win in the last two Premier League matches as they settled for a 1-1 draw against Southampton and a 5-3 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Real Madrid manager had expressed his unhappiness as he believes that Chelsea were denied clear penalties. Terry has echoed Mourinho’s comments now as he believes that the Stamford Bridge outfit were also denied penalties against the north London club as well.
“A little bit. There have been a lot of highlights on the television and in the papers as well, which is unfair,” Terry told the Telegraph.
“I think the refs have to judge each game as it is. You can’t go into a game thinking, ‘Someone did this, someone did that’. There are reputations out there, but the referees have got to come into it with a clear mind and I think the last two games we have been denied two clear penalties.”
“As I said in the dressing room, it’s important we remain together. We’ll regroup and we’ll go again, for sure. We are top of the League and we are there for a reason because we are playing some great stuff and we’ve seen us outplay a lot of sides this year. We’ll kick on and wipe the Tottenham game away,” the former England international added.
Despite the latest defeat, Chelsea are on top of the Premier League table with 46 points from 20 matches, level on points and goal difference with second place Manchester City.
