Chelsea are top of the Barclays Premier League table, four points clear of their nearest rivals with 10 games left to go, but goal keeper Petr Cech has said the Blues are not the favourites to win the Premier league title this season.

The Blues have amassed 63 points from 28 matches and are four points clear of both Arsenal and Liverpool.

Other title contender, Manchester City are further two points behind but the League Cup winners have two games in hand.

Cech believes that although they are leading the Premier League table, Manchester City have a better chance of winning the title. However, he insisted that his team will fight till the end to win the league.

“We are top of the table because Manchester City are two games behind,” the 31-year-old told Pravo, as quoted by Sky Sports.

“If they win them, then they will be ahead of us due to the more number of goals scored.

“We are not the biggest favourites but we want to win the league and we will be fighting for it. There are still 10 games left.”

It seems like Cech is following the footsteps of his manager Jose Mourinho, who also claimed that his side are not favourites to win the title.

Mourinho claimed that he would rather be in City’s position at the moment and has put pressure on Manuel Pellegrini by saying that City ”have destiny in their hands.”
