This summer will be massive for Liverpool. Simply massive.

Before the season started, finishing in top four was the main priority but Liverpool have exceeded all expectations and are now assured of at least third place in the league. That means they don’t have to play the Champions League play offs to reach the main stage.

But, most importantly they are in pole position to win the Barclays Premier League title for the first time in 24 years.

There will be a sea-change approach in their transfer outlook next season with manager Brendan Rodgers will be given a hefty transfer war-chest to bolster the squad. Further, with Champions League football to offer, Liverpool can once again attract top players around the world.

Managing director Ian Ayre had admitted that Liverpool will go to any extent to sign a top player, willing to match any price, if the player is wanted by the manager.

“It will cost what it costs when we decide who the manager wants to buy,” said managing director Ian Ayre as quoted by BBC.

“It has always been tougher in the transfer market when you are not competing at the highest level,” said Ayre.

“We have always been fortunate to be able to bring great players here despite that, but there is no question it opens up a few doors for us and makes it a little bit easier.

“There is no question we always expected that the squad we need for next season will be very different to the squad that we have needed for this year when we were not playing in Europe.”

While defence needs a major overhaul, Liverpool will be looking to add one or two midfielders as well. The Reds are heavily linked with several top European players already and to keep an update on it check here.
