Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been linked with a move away from Signal Iduna Park this summer and it seems that the Gabon international will indeed complete a transfer.
The Gabon national team’s head coach has confirmed that Aubameyang is in the process of changing clubs at the moment and has requested the manager to overlook his selection for the national team right now.
Ahead of Gabon’s clash against Mauritania, Costa said: “Aubameyang asked me not to be selected because he is in the process of changing clubs.”
Aubameyang has been sensational for the Germans ever since he joined them from St-Etienne back in 2013. He has scored 80 goals in 140 appearances for the club since then, including 39 this season.
The Bundesliga star has been linked with a move to Manchester United and Arsenal since last summer and it will be interesting to see if he arrives in the Premier League now. Aubameyang has always been vocal about his admiration for Real Madrid and could end up joining Los Blancos as well.
Real Madrid have been linked with moves for Lewandowski, Morata and Aubameyang this summer. The Dortmund star is one of the best in his position right now and is likely to cost upwards of £50 million. Daily Star are claiming that Manchester United are willing to shell out around £70 million for the 26 year old.
