The Reds have been in fine form in the Premier League this season, dropping just two points in 10 games to open up a healthy six-point advantage over Manchester City.
They recovered from a one-goal deficit to deservedly beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Sunday and will be eager to follow up against the Gunners.
It has been a difficult week for Arsenal, with manager Unai Emery coming under fire following his side’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace over the weekend.

Liverpool haven’t been beaten by Arsenal since 2015, winning five and drawing four of their subsequent nine meetings.
They are priced at 21/20 to win in 90 minutes, although there are reasons to suspect that Arsenal can cause them problems.
The competition isn’t too high on manager Jurgen Klopp’s list of priorities and the Gunners desperately need a boost after a troubled week.
Arsenal have failed to win at Anfield since a 2-0 success back in 2012, while they have lost their last four visits by an aggregate scoreline of 15-3.
That wretched run gives Arsenal a point to prove and it potentially makes them dangerous opponents for the Reds.
