Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been one of the most talked about from the Premier League this season – alongside Tottenham Hotspur’s Gareth Bale and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney.
A host of top European sides have been linked, and bids have even been made, however Liverpool have reiterated the Uruguayan international is not for sale.
Despite manager Brendan Rodgers vehemently denying the striker will be sold this summer, Liverpool’s movement in the transfer market would suggest the Merseyside outfit are indeed preparing for life with Suarez.
Celta Vigo striker Iago Aspas signed for Liverpool before the European window had even opened – which signalled the side’s intent to bolster the attacking options early for the coming season.
Liverpool have recently made a bid for Athletico Madrid forward Diego Costa – said to be around £21.8M, triggering his buy-out clause. The Brazilian international could be keen on a move following the arrival of David Villa to the side, which could see him playing second-fiddle.

Fellow Premier League side Arsenal are still the only side to make an official bid for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez, and the striker has already said he wants to hold talks with the Gunners and potentially thrash out personal terms, but his requests were quashed.
Liverpool are desperately trying to overstock themselves on attacking personnel in an attempt to have adequate replacement for his inevitable exit. Whether the players they are targeting have the quality to replace a player of Suarez’ quality remains to be seen, but it’s clear they are worried at the prospect of losing their top goalscorer of last season.
