Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has had a considerable amount of time to test his squad so far and it appears that the Italian isn’t too impressed with the Brazilian midfielder Oscar.

The 24 year old playmaker has struggled to establish himself as a starter over the last couple of seasons and was hoping to start fresh under Conte. However, recent reports claim that the former Juventus manager is unhappy with the player’s lack of workrate.

The Italian’s philosophy can often be too demanding for certain players and that seems the case with Oscar.

The Brazilian’s talent is beyond doubt, but in a system that requires a lot of defensive contribution and pressing, Oscar is more of a luxury player.

The likes of Willian, Cuadrado are all much more hardworking and are more likely to adapt to Conte’s system.

Oscar has been linked with a move to Inter Milan this summer. The Italian giants are ready to break the bank for the Chelsea star and if reports are to be believed, Conte is ready to approve the sale.

Chelsea are likely to demand around 30 million pounds for the South American if Inter come calling. Conte confirmed that some players will leave the club after the pre-season tour is over.

A move to Serie A could be a positive step in Oscar’s career. The Brazilian has the skill set to flourish in a league with slower pace and intensity. Furthermore, at his age, he needs to play regular first team football.

Oscar started just 20 league games last season and for a player of his calibre that is simply unacceptable. Oscar is a world class talent and a move away from Chelsea might just be what he needs to fulfill his world class potential.
