Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado has been linked with a permanent move to Juventus over the last few months.

The Colombian joined the Italian champions on loan and the Italians were willing to make the deal permanent for a reasonable price.

However, it seems that Antonio Conte is keen to work with the player at Chelsea and therefore a permanent move to Turin might not be possible this summer.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has confirmed to BBC that he has scouted the player before and wanted to sign him for Juventus in the past. He also revealed that he is looking forward to working with Cuadrado next season and the player will join Chelsea for pre-season very soon.

“I wanted him when I was Juventus coach. He will come back very soon and train and play with us,” said Conte.

“Now, he’s a Chelsea player and he’ll stay with us. If something changes you’ll know.”

This could be a golden opportunity for Cuadrado to prove himself in the English Premier League once again. The Colombian failed to make his mark after joining Chelsea in January 2015 for a fee of 23 million pounds and was then loaned out at the start of last season.

The former Fiorentina winger has impressed at Juventus and Juventus CEO Giuseppe Marotta previously stated he wants to keep hold of Cuadrado. However, there was no agreement for the deal to be made permanent at the end of the season.

Cuadrado scored four goals in 28 appearances last season and helped his side win the Serie A. The winger also impressed during the Copa America this summer.
