Horse Racing Betting Tips for Wednesday November 10th

EXETER JOCKEYS

Conditional jockey LORCAN MURTAGH has hit the frame with 11 of his last 12 mounts to complete the course and he has some interesting rides at Exeter today. Three of those are for in-form Harry Fry, who has a fine record at Exeter, scoring with 41 of his 125 runners (32.8% strike-rate) for a profit of £62.48 to a £1 level stake at SP. HURRICANE MITCH (12.40), runner-up in all three starts since his racecourse debut, has had wind surgery since we last saw him in the spring and may be able to go one better in the opener. Even if he finishes second again, we’ll pick up 10pts and still almost cover the current SpreadEx spread betting market of 11.5-13. Those preferring the fixed odds approach can back Hurricane Mitch at 4-1 with SpreadEx. Murtagh’s two other mounts for Harry Fry are big prices – MUY BIEN (1.10) and BURROWS TREAT (3.40) – but one or both could sneak into the places. He also rides CREATIVE INERTIA for Ben Clarke in the 3.10, an 8-1 shot in the SpreadEx fixed odds betting. Clarke is five from 22 with his runners in 2021 (+£8.06 to a £1 level stake at SP) and eight of the 17 beaten horses finished second or third.

Recommendation: Buy LORCAN MURTAGH at Exeter

BANGOR 1.30

FALCO BLITZ won at right-handed Ascot over hurdles but he he’s not so effective in that direction over fences, as he loses valuable ground by jumping out to his left. Despite this obvious trait, Nicky Henderson has run him right-handed in four of his six chase outings to date. His two left-handed runs resulted in a very comfortable Southwell success and a highly-respectable 11-1 seventh of 18 in a valuable handicap chase at Uttoxeter where he was beaten by just over six lengths. He became outpaced n that 2m4f contest before staying on well at the business end the return to today’s 3m trip looks ideal. His sole previous run at this distance saw him finished a close-up fourth over hurdles at Cheltenham two years ago, a fine effort given that he challenged on the slowest part of the track towards the inside rail. Options for siding with the seven-year-old include backing him each-way at 15-2 in the fixed odds betting with SpreadEx or buying him on the spreads at 13 in the 50-30-20-10 market.

Recommendation: Back FALCO BLITZ in Bangor 1.30
