RACECARD No.1s could be worth a buy with SpreadEx at Carlisle today. BAK ROCKY has uninspiring form figures in the second race (12.20) but has joined Sandy Thomson’s yard since we last saw him and he has attracted some overnight support. BALLYBEG (12.50) hasn’t seen out since the spring but ran second on his comeback last term and will relish the soft going, CAPTAIN MOIRETTE (1.25) looks a like improver on his debut for a new and CAPTAIN ZEBO (2.35) is five from five for his current yard when racing below Graded level. HILL SIXTEEN (3.10) is another who has made the switch to Sandy Thomson and the eight-year-old cold have more to offer after wind surgery. The market is currently set at 37-40 and that could be on the low side.

CORK 3.00
The Cork Grand National Handicap Chase could be destined for SCREAMING COLOURS, who will relish the recent rain. We could back all progeny of Dubai Destination over fences on soft or heavy going and make a profit and he’ll appreciate every yard of the 3m4f trip. This consistent and lightly-raced ten-year-old is a sound jumper, making him an ideal SpreadEx spread market buy or each-way play (currently 6-1) in the fixed odds betting as he’s likely to complete the course. If we include his point-to-point form, his record over a trip of three miles or further reads 2121512224 (3-10), with the latest defeat coming in the 20-runner Midlands Grand National. He’s proven when fresh, scoring by eight and half lengths at 22-1 on his reappearance last season.
