Andrew’s bet on BUN DORAN (third at 14-1) returned a profit at Cheltenham on Friday, as did his buy of FERGAL O’BRIEN’s performance and Chetlenham STARTING PRICES. He has three more recommended bets/trades on Saturday:

Horse Racing Betting Tips for Saturday November 13th

CHELTENHAM RACECARD No.1s

CHELTENHAM RACECARD No.1s, currently set at 28-30 by SpreadEx, could be worth a small buy on Saturday. CARAMELISED (12.30) disappointed when odds-on at Market Rasen last time but he raced on the inside rail where the ground was slower and he could bounce back in a first-time hood. OPPOSITES ATTRACT (1.05) tends to clout a few on his way round but he is consistent and will be suited by the tempo of an amateur riders’ handicap chase. CAPTAIN TOM CAT faces a stiff task in the Grade 2 novices’ chase (1.40) now that he cuts back in trip but he’s a sound jumper and will exploit any errors from his rivals. SIMPLY THE BETTS has a lot of weight in the feature race (2.15) but he was sixth in this race last year and looks a potential improver for wind surgery and the switch to Paul Nicholls. SPORTING JOHN, another wind op recipient, has possibilities in the 2.50 and BENSON looks a likely improver now up in trip in the 3.25 and is yet another number 1 who has undergone wind surgery since his last run.

Recommendation: Buy RACECARD No.1s at Cheltenham

CHELTENHAM JOCKEYS

Our buy of trainer FERGAL O’BRIEN produced a profit of 19.75pts yesterday and it could be worth siding with horses again via jockey PADDY BRENNAN who rides two of them. Brennan also has a couple of good rides for in-form Milton Harris and the SpreadEx market, currently set at 20-22, could be on the low side.

Recommendation: Buy PADDY BRENNAN performance at Cheltenham

WETHERBY 3.45

Venetia Williams-trained handicap chasers do well during the month of November but the profits come from the younger horses, with those aged nine plus contributing just two wins from 48 runs since 2015 for a loss of £40.75 to a £1 level stake at SP. So far this year, her three qualifiers were all unplaced (10-1, 7-1 and 13-2) and it could be worth opposing ten-year-old mare GRAND TURINA in this 3m handicap chase. She hasn’t won since March 2017 and was pulled up on her reappearance last term. She tends to perform best in the second half of the season and has form figures from October to December of UPP3 (0-4). She can be sold in the 50-25-10 market with SpreadEx. Those wishing to play in the fixed odds market could do worse than side with MUCKAMORE.

Recommendation: Oppose GRAND TURINA in Wetherby 3.45
