Christian Benteke – Liverpool to Crystal Palace

Jürgen Klopp is of the firm belief that Daniel Sturridge, Divock Origi and Danny Ings would be enough for Liverpool this season and Christian Benteke, signed by previous manager Brendan Rodgers for £32.5, will be sold before the end of the window. Benteke is regarded as a good striker, but quite clearly, he never fit the system at Liverpool. Klopp prefers his team to be constantly pressing and playing high-intensity football and Benteke is a player who needs the attack to be shaped around him. Crystal Palace have been most interested and selling Yanick Bolasie to Everton has generated the funds to sign the former Aston Villa player.  However, just today, Liverpool turned down another bid from Crystal Palace for out-of-favour striker Christian Benteke, where the Eagles offered an initial £23m, with a further £7m of add ons. The Reds value the player at a higher price, especially since only one year of his contract is up.

Probability of transfer: 4/5

Claudio Bravo – Barcelona to Manchester City

Manchester City have had Joe Hart as the number one keeper since he took over the duties from Shay Given back in 2010. He has since made over 250 appearances for the side. However, after a poor Euro 2016 performance, the England international keeper’s future at the Etihad is in doubt, especially after new boss Pep Guardiola left him on the bench for their Premier League opener with Sunderland on Saturday. Initially, Guardiola was reported to be interested in getting Marc-Andre ter Stegen but recent reports indicate the Spaniard wants to bring in Barcelona’s Claudio Bravo instead. The deal could be worth £17m but an injury to ter Stegen means the move could be delayed right until the end.

Skhodran Mustafi – Valencia to Arsenal

Manchester United are keen to sign Valencia defender, Shkodran Mustafi

Arsenal started the season badly with a 3-4 defeat to Liverpool at home. At the moment, they are very thin at the back following injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel. Their chief target is Valencia’s Shkodran Mustafi who is believed to be very keen on a move to the Premier League side. Discussions are still on and it is believed that the deal would go through smoothly as long as Arsenal meet Valencia’s valuation. Sky Sports have reported that Mustafi has agreed to move to the Gunners, but the player has not signed nothing and there is no agreement yet between the clubs.

Probability of transfer: 3.5/5

Kalidou Koulibaly – Napoli to Chelsea

The Blues have been pursuing the defender all summer, with manager Antonio Conte wanting reinforcements for his backline. According to calciomercato.it, Chelsea, whose initial bid for the centre-back was rejected, will submit a new offer which will range between €50m and €55m [£43m-£48m], though Napoli still want to keep Koulibaly and are holding out for £50m. The Senegal international will probably be offered a new contract, but so far he has rejected all advances.
