Manchester United produced an efficient and controlled performance at the Luzhniki Stadium to beak CSKA Moscow 1-0. Injuries, weather and a plastic playing pitch meant that United were always going to play controlled rather than expansive football, but all the players did their jobs well (with Fabio particularly impressing from full-back).
The goal came late in the second half as Valencia put away a sharp chance to get the win and give United 9 points from 3 games.
