After yesterday’s revelations, I’m slightly surprised we haven’t got a few more ‘Liverpool exodus’ stories this morning, but I’m pretty sure we won’t have to wait too long before the floodgates crash open.
Instead the main transfer story centres around a man that has been linked with a move to the Premier League more than almost any other over the past couple of years…Barcelona’s Yaya Toure.
Here’s today’s fresh-from-the-oven batch of transfer rumours…
According to his agent Dimitri Seluk, Barcelona holding man Yaya Toure is ‘desperate’ to join Manchester City and is already in talks over a move to Eastlands. Toure is known to be frustrated with his lack of playing time at Barca and is now ready to triumph in the Premier League. (Daily Mirror)
However, should the Ivorian fail to reach an agreement with City, then Manchester United and Arsenal are ready to pounce for the 27-year-old midfielder. (The Sun)
Manchester City seem to have missed out on the chance to sign highly-rated Valencia winger David Silva, as Real Madrid have reportedly already opened negotiations with Los Che over a move for the Spanish star. (Daily Telegraph)
Tottenham are planning to revamp their attack ahead of next season’s Champions League exploits with the £20 million signing of Atletico Madrid striker Diego Forlan. (Daily Star)
Chelsea have given up on retaining Joe Cole for next season, and have withdrawn their contract offer – freeing the England man to join Arsenal. (Star)
