Manchester United have reached an agreement with the German manager Ralf Rangnick to take over as the interim boss until the end of the season.
The Premier League giants recently appointed Michael Carrick as the interim manager after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but they have decided to bring in a more experienced candidate now in the form of Rangnick.
The 63-year-old has a big reputation in the game as a manager, a director as well a scout.
The German has held administrative roles at top clubs like RB Leipzig and RB Salzburg in the past and he could make a big difference at Old Trafford in the coming months.

According to The Athletic, the head of sports development at Lokomotiv Moscow has signed a six-month contract with the Premier League giants and he set to pocket a consultancy role for two years as well.
Manchester United take on Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend but the German will not be in charge of his new club because of work permit reasons.
The Red Devils were linked with the likes of Mauricio Pochettino, Brendan Rodgers and Erik Ten Hag as well but they have decided to move for the German instead.
The 63-year-old has worked closely with top-class managers like Thomas Tuchel and Julian Nagelsmann and he is likely to bring his high pressing style of football to Old Trafford as well.
World-class managers like Jurgen Klopp have previously revealed their admiration towards Rangnick because of his playing style.
It remains to be seen whether Rangnick can help Manchester United finish the season strongly and win a trophy. The Red Devils are currently eighth in the league table and they will need to finish in the Champions League places at the very least.
