Antonio Conte is reportedly very close to being appointed as the next manager at Tottenham Hotspur.
It is said that the 52-year-old is already lining up a number of targets for Spurs in the January transfer window.
The Italian had previously rejected the important role in north London in the summer.
However, he is now set to succeed Nuno Espirito Santo at Spurs after assurances from Daniel Levy that he will receive heavy financial backing.
Conte has won five titles in his career so far, with four coming in Italy and the Premier League with Chelsea.
The 52-year-old is already plotting new signings for the Londoners in January.
As per SportMediaset, the Italian football expert is interested to sign Serie A midfielders Marcelo Brozovic and Franck Kessie.
Brozovic’s current contract at Inter is set to expire in the summer and so he could be signed without much difficulty.
The Croatian midfielder has been playing for the Nerazzurri since 2015. So far, he has clocked up 256 appearances across all competitions, scoring 25 goals and creating 34 assists in the process (stats from Transfermarkt).
Meanwhile, securing the signature of Kessie might not be that easy as he is said to have admirers from many clubs in Europe.
The 24-year-old has been with AC Milan since the summer of 2017 when he joined them from Atalanta.
He initially arrived on a two-year loan deal but his move was made permanent in the summer of 2019.
So far, he has made 194 appearances across all competitions for the Rossoneri, scoring 32 goals and creating 15 assists in the process.
