It seemed like Kylian Mbappe would be announced as a Real Madrid signing in the summer of 2021 after the French forward had reportedly asked the Paris Saint-Germain board to let him leave at the end of the season. However, since then, a lot has changed for Mbappe, PSG, and Real Madrid.
Diaro GOL reports that Mbappe has considered not to make a move next summer to the Santiago Bernabeu as the 22-year-old forward wants to see out his contract at the Parc des Princes. Another reason is that the former AS Monaco star wants to experience a season with Lionel Messi who has been tipped to sign for Paris Saint-Germain next summer.
With Thomas Tuchel being sacked a few days ago, former Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has been tipped to take over the role. Pochettino reportedly wants Lionel Messi who is eager on leaving Barcelona at the end of the season when his contract expires after failing to leave Camp Nou earlier this summer.
Mbappe prefers waiting for a season at the Parc des Princes to possibly join forces with Lionel Messi for a season and form what could be the world’s most lethal attack with Neymar Jr, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi.
Meanwhile, credible sources have confirmed that Real Madrid will not be making any big-money signings next summer as the club continues to cope with the hardship imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The possible two signings for Zinedine Zidane next summer are David Alaba of Bayern Munich on a free transfer and Eduardo Camavinga of Rennes for a figure less than 50 million Euros. Real currently plan on reducing their wage budget which is the reason why the club has not renewed the contracts of Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric. Having said that, it could also be the reason why Los Blancos have pulled out from the race to sign Mbappe next season as well.
