Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena this summer.
The Polish international is negotiating a new contract with Bayern Munich but has also spoken to Real Madrid regarding a transfer. His agent confirmed that earlier this month.
Now Daily Mail are reporting that the 27 year old is open to joining a Premier League club as well. The likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal have all been linked with the former Dortmund star.
The report from Mail claims that Robert Lewandowski is a boyhood Liverpool fan and would consider joining the Merseyside giants if and when they return to the Champions League. The fact that they are managed by Lewandowski’s former manager Jurgen Klopp is a bonus.
The Poland star has scored 47 goals in his last 57 Bundesliga games and is second only to Luis Suarez as far as the best strikers in the world are concerned.
It would be interesting to see if any of the Premier League giants submit a bid for him now. Of course this could be a ploy to get a pay-rise at Bayern. Often agents plant transfer stories to get better deals for their clients.
In any case, Lewandowski is in his prime right now and would cost a bomb. However, whichever team signs him will end up with a world class footballer and one of the few natural goalscorers in the planet right now.
