Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has informed his close friends that he is confident of succeeding Louis Van Gaal as the next Manchester United manager.
The Portuguese manager was sacked last year due to a poor start and wants to return to management with another Premier League club this summer.
There have been several reports of Mourinho agreeing on a deal with Manchester United over the last few weeks but now Independent are reporting that no contract offer has been made as the club are focused on the current season right now.
However, they have mentioned that Mourinho is confident of landing the Old Trafford job.
Furthermore, James Ducker of The Telegraph has also reported the same story a few days ago. He claimed that Mourinho has told his close friends that he will be offered the Manchester United job.
Now Manchester Evening News are also reporting that Ryan Giggs is expected to leave his post as the assistant manager once Mourinho takes over. The Portuguese coach will bring his own backroom staff with him.
Mourinho has won the Premier League with Chelsea thrice already and will be an outstanding addition for Manchester United.
The Red Devils have struggled to replicate their performances under Sir Alex Ferguson and Mourinho could be the man to take them back to their former glories.
