Manchester United have dropped a major hint that their current manager Louis Van Gaal might be sacked at the end of this season.
The Dutchman was not a part of the video promoting Manchester United’s summer tour of China according to Telegraph.
Manchester United will face City in a friendly derby in Beijing on July 25 during their summer tour of the country. They will also face Borussia Dortmund during their eight-day tour of China.
Usually, the manager and the top players at the club are the ones representing the club in these promotions and Van Gaal’s exclusion will fuel further speculations that the Dutchman might be off in the summer.
Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has been tipped to replace the Dutchman this summer.
Quite often clubs choose to exclude a player who is leaving the club from kit reveals and promotions and it looks like a similar situation here with Van Gaal.
Van Gaal has failed to challenge for the title during his time at Old Trafford and despite spending huge sums of money on several new signings, there has been no real progress in terms of playing style or league position.
Manchester United might still end the season with a trophy, but that is clearly not enough after the shocking performances in the Premier League and the Champions league.
Manchester United are still in the FA Cup and could finish fourth in the Premier League as well.
