Manchester United face West Ham in the FA Cup this weekend and Louis Van Gaal will be under tremendous pressure to deliver.

After a crushing 2-0 defeat against Liverpool in the first leg of the Europa knockouts yesterday, Manchester United need to channel their frustrations with a positive performance in front of their own fans this weekend.

The Red Devils will want to win a trophy this season and considering the fact that they might be on their way out of the Europa League soon, FA Cup is their best chance of winning silverware this season.

The Premier League giants are well behind the likes of Leicester in the title race.

As for West Ham, the Hammers will be looking to build on their impressive win against Everton this week. The Hammers are in superb form right now and the in-form duo of Antonio and Dmitri Payet will cause major problems for the Manchester United back four.

Bilic’s tactic of sitting deep and playing on the counter has worked wonders against the top teams this season. West Ham have beaten Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs and City already.

It will be interesting to see how Manchester United manage to counter West Ham’s threat especially if they play an offensive game.

Team News

West Ham will be without the services of James Collins, James Tomkins and Winston Reid. All three players are injured.

Midfielders Joey O’Brien and Enner Valencia are also out for the visitors.

Manchester United will be without Shaw, Jones, Young, Januzaj and Rooney. All five players are injured at the moment.

Juan Mata was sent off in their 1-0 defeat to West Brom on Sunday and his suspension will apply in the FA Cup as well.

Antonio Valencia should feature on the bench whereas Bastian Schweinsteiger returned to the side as a substitute against Liverpool and should be considered here.
