Manchester United goalkeeper Victor Valdes has stated his delight after completing a loan move to Standard Liege on Sunday.
The 34-year-old became surplus to requirements at Manchester United after falling out with manager Louis van Gaal.
The former Barcelona goalkeeper expressed his joy after completing his move to Belgium: “I’m very proud to be part of Standard Liege.”

Valdes earlier thanked Manchester United fans for their support ahead of his move.
The £60,000-a-week star has made only two appearances for United since joining the club in January 2015.
Valdes is free to join any club of his choice after the end of the season as his contract at United expires in the summer. He will be hoping to get regular games at Liege and end the season on a high.
