Rarely a day goes by when you don’t get to hear Premier League cash-packed Manchester City being not linked with a new footballer.
Today it has been reported that the Eastlands club are eager to land the England international winger David Bentley from Tottenham Hotspur next month.
The link arises due to the fact that Man City manager Mark Hughes and David Bentley had worked together at Blackburn Rovers with Hughes said to be a keen admirer of the 24-year old.
But it is unlikely that David Bentley would like to move out of White Hart Lane at the moment. Of course, the lure to join in the Eastlands revolution would be massive but Bentley has been quoted as saying that he supported Spurs as a boy and that it is a dream for him to play for the White Lilies.
Moreover, Spurs have been reviving under new manager Harry Redknapp, which implies that Bentley might not want to leave the Spurs revolution very soon.
