Uncertainties over the future of Liverpool defender Daniel Agger continue to intensify as it has once again emerged that the player could be heading for the Anfield exit door next month.
Agger’s agent Pef Steffensen exclusively told Goal.com earlier this week that Agger might decide to move on in January although he did point out that the player still had 18 months left on his current contract.
Then he told The Times on Friday that the player was contemplating interests from both AC Milan and Real Madrid.
And now Ansa.it reports that the Danish international defender is looking to switch clubs in January.
Well, although these might be only rumours, a very distinct possibility that Agger would be moving out of Merseyside next month is weighing itself up.
Why would Agger’s agent not refuse to say that his client is interested in playing only for Liverpool at the moment? Why would he not simply brush aside all rumours with a single “NO”?
As they say, there is no smoke without fire, even if it’s just the agent striking matches at every possible opportunity.
