The last of the top 50 players in FIFA 16 were revealed on September 5 as we move into the month in which the newest instalment of the best-selling game will be launched.
At the top of list, FIFA still favours their cover boy Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo in the debate that has dominated world football for years – and these days, is helping to clean the streets of London.
Argentine international and treble winner with Barcelona is the highest rated player in the game with a 94 overall, while Ronaldo comes in just behind at 93. There is a bit of a drop-off from there, as Luis Suarez clocks in at 90 overall with Manuel Neuer and Arjen Robben.
Only two Premier League players cracked the top 10 list of best players in FIFA 16, with Chelsea winger Eden Hazard sixth overall and Manchester City star midfielder David Silva tenth. Only one player out of the 50 plays his football outside of Europe. Former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez plays for Argentine club Boca Juniors and has made it to the list.
Throughout the month in the lead-up to release day on September 22, EA Sports will reveal ratings lists for various big name clubs, and other categories of players around the world, for instance, top prospects.
