Kevin De Bruyne’s agent has talked up the Belgian’s impending move to Premier League giants Manchester City, insisting the offer made by the Sky Blues is hard to turn down, according to a report in The Times.
De Bruyne has been linked with a move to Eastlands all summer long, with Wolfsburg having already rejected a bid from the English club last week, and another offer for the Belgian international is imminent in the coming days.
While there have been plenty twists in what has become a protracted transfer saga, De Bruyne’s agent believes the player will have no reason to turn down an offer from City should the Citizens find a common ground with the Wolves for the player’s fee.
He has stressed negotiations between the player and his suitors haven’t been affected after De Bruyne was tricked into affirming his commitment to Wolfsburg during the Sport Bild Awards on Monday.
“Kevin has a sporting and financial plan proposed that are difficult to say no to,” De Bruyne’s agent Patrick De Koster was quoted as saying by The Times.
De Bruyne had a less-than-impressive showing in Wolfsburg’s Bundesliga opener against Eintracht Frankfurt last weekend as he was substituted after 75 minutes while also picking up a yellow card. With Manchester City looming, the 24-year-old’s below par performance could be an indication that his mind is set on a move.
