Done Deal: Liverpool have secured the signing of young Brazilian midfielder Allan Rodrigues de Souza.
The Reds have already signed Brazilian midfielder Roberto Firmino in the summer from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, and the club now have secured the signing of another highly talented Brazilian in the form of an 18-year-old young midfielder. The youngster will join the Reds from Porto Alegre-based Internacional for a fee of around £500,000.
The official statement reads, via Liverpool Echo:
“LFC have secured Allan for the future and he’s currently spending time with the Reds with the permission of his club, Internacional.”
Allan has trained with Liverpool at Melwood this week and will feature in the squad for Saturday’s friendly with HJK Helsinki.
The young midfielder will join his fellow countrymen Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Lucas Leiva in Rodgers’ squad.
It has been a highly productive summer transfer window for Liverpool. The Reds have signed seven new players including Allan, but he is certainly the one to watch out for the future.
Rodgers has always focussed on strengthening the youth set up at the club, and this season the club have already made inroads into the market to bolster that department.
The merseyside club have already signed exciting young prospects – Bobby Adekanye and Brooks Lennon – from Barcelona and MLS side Real Salt Lake respectively this summer.
