Brazilian defender Thiago Silva has claimed that PSG are keeping a close tab on Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba, who is also a reported target of Manchester United.
“For France, for European football, he’s a golden boy. His coach at Juventus [Massimiliano Allegri] says a lot of good things about him,” he said. “He’s a loss for the French. He’s a player the whole of Europe is watching, notably PSG.”
Pogba since leaving Manchester United has went on to establish himself as one of the best young midfielders in the world around, and is regularly linked with heavy weight Premier League clubs.
There is a constant speculation on his future and various parties say various thing at various point of time, which is practically impossible to jot it down under few sentences.
But the general notion we get is that Pogba is happy at Juventus and the Serie A giants will only sell him at the right price.
Allegri said few months back: “Everything in life has a price, unfortunately. I don’t think it is a problem we need to consider right now.
“It is difficult to replace world class players, but it can be done, as football goes on.
“Pogba is only 21 years old, has a good 10-15 years ahead of him and more importantly has the qualities to do much better than he is now.
“To win games you need great players, otherwise there wouldn’t be players that clubs pay €100m (£75 million) for. As with every profession, there are levels.”
While Juventus have every right to ask such huge money for a player who is a regular international for France and has three league titles under his belt, it remains to be seen whether PSG, Manchester United or any big European clubs like Real Madrid are ready to pay that figure quoted for him in the summer.
