Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has given his full support to under-performing superstar Gareth Bale and surprisingly blamed the press for his poor form.
Bale has managed just one assist and zero goals in his last nine outings for Los Blancos. and has been receiving criticisms from the fans and media.
“Gareth Bale is one of the best players in the world and the most important teams in the world fought for his services” Perez told reporters.
Bale’s poor form has led to certain section of the fan base jeering the Welshman in recent matches, on top of that, there is a continuous speculation on his future. Although Perez has denied that Madrid are looking to offload, he did say that some of the world’s biggest clubs are still interested in signing him.
Perez strongly defends Gareth Bale, also interestingly saying that some of the world’s biggest clubs are still trying to sign him….MUFC?

We all know that Manchester United have been strongly linked with Bale in the past few months – although most of the rumours came from the tabloids – we can fairly guess who that big club is.
Perez has also given his full backing to manager Carlo Ancelotti and says he will be in charge till the end of the season, no matter what happens.
