Chelsea’s winger Andre Schurrle is all set to leave the club to make way for Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado at the Bridge.
Schurrle’s agent has confirmed that Chelsea have struck a ‘verbal agreement’ with German outfit Wolfsburg over the transfer, reports The Mirror.
The German’s agent Ingo Haspel said: “There are still a few things to discuss, but we’re no longer talking about figures.”
If the reports are to be believed, Chelsea would command a transfer fee of £22.5m for Schurrle, which will eclipse the €22m Wolfsburg paid for Kevin De Bruyne as their record transfer.
Schurrle appeared in 30 of Chelsea’s 38 Premier League games last term, netting eight goals, but this season, he has cut a frustrating figure, managing just five starts to far this season.
Another Chelsea winger who is certain to leave the club is Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian winger will move to Fiorentina on loan as a part of the deal for Colombian international Cuadrado, who is expected to undergo his medical today.
